Brittany Dawn Bendana, 29 of Tunnelton, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with her husband and family by her side.
Brittany was born July 6, 1990 at Preston Memorial Hospital, and is the daughter of Steve Haskiell and James and Alisha Hunt all of Tunnelton. In addition to her parents, Brittany will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of seven years, John Bendana, II, and their precious son, John Bendana, III; sister and fiancé, Sierra Haskiell and Anthony Riley; brother, Dylan Haskiell; brother, Jamie Zinn; brother and wife, Gregory and Ashley Hunt; maternal grandparents, Bob and Sue Bolyard; paternal grandparents, Bill and Geraldine Haskiell; mother-in-law, Sheri Peery; brother-in-law, Manny Bendana; a special niece who she treated like a daughter, Bella Bolyard; a special nephew, Greyson Hunt; and numerous extended family and dear friends.
Brittany, a free spirt with a hippie soul, graduated from Pleasant Valley Christian Academy with a full scholarship that she gave up because she couldn’t take her dog. Some of Brittany’s many interests included reading and listening to music; but she was first and foremost a devoted and loving mother and wife, and she treasured and embraced every moment with them. Brittany loved unconditionally and never hesitated to help others, which she has continued to do even in death with her final act of kindness being the gift of life through organ donation.
Family and friends are invited to a “Celebration of Life” service on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Cathedral State Park in Aurora, West Virginia.
