Doris "Little Babe" Bell (Hershman) Ridenour

Doris Bell Hershman Ridenour “Little Babe”, 73 of Sinclair, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at her residence. She was born August 12, 1945 in Sinclair, daughter of the late Neil and Annie Waybright Hershman. Doris graduate in 1964 from Fellowsville High School. 

She was a Methodist by Faith. Doris was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, quilting, cooking, canning, farming and gardening. Doris was a homemaker.  Doris is survived by her loving husband of fifty five years, Emerson “Emo” Ridenour, three sons, Randy Lee Ridenour, Ranson, WV, Ricky Allen Ridenour, Sinclair and Rocky “Buckwheat” Ridenour and Connie, Newburg; one grandson, Rocky E “Cherrio” Ridneour; a very special niece and nephew, Linda and Gary Schooley, Tunnelton, great nephew, Justin Schooley, Martinsburg, WV; two sisters, Shierline Barber, Grafton, Joyce Nine and Charles, Sinclair; two brothers, Herbert Hershman and Ruby, Sinclair, George Hershman and Sue, Sinclair; two brother-in-law’s, Arlie “Sonny” Shahan, Oakland, MD, Willie Ridenour and Donna, Colebank, five sister-in-law’s, Mary Teets and Bob, Reedsville, Betty Shaffer and Darwin, Stevensburg, Rose Johnson and Joe, Stevensburg, Eppy Bennett, Tunnelton, Rosemary Larew and Pete, Reedsville; four aunts, Jean Hershman, Wanda Ridenour, Nellie Ridenour, Ida Simons; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Jean Shahan, one brother, Edward Neil “Jake” Hershman, two sister-in-law’s, Helen Jean Larew, Dorothy Ann Willis, one brother-in-law, Allen Willis, one great nephews, Jeffery Dale Schooley; one nephew, James Ray Hershman. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, WV, Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 1-7pm, and at the Mount Israel United Methodist Church on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 10am until time of service at 11am with the Pastor Sonny McNear officiating. Burial will follow at the Mount Israel Cemetery at Marquess.
