Edward Bolyard Obituary

Our Heavenly Father welcomed Edward L. Bolyard home on Monday, February 19, 2018 from his earthly home on Haymond Road, Grafton, formally of Laurel Mountain, near Fellowsville.  He was born March 2, 1937 at home near Mt. Israel in Preston County; son of the late Arnold O. and G. May Sigley Bolyard. 

 

Ed leaves his wife Carolyn L. Edwards Bolyard; children, Brenda Cool of Lost Creek, WV, Dwayne (Anita) Bolyard of Knottsville Community, Sandra (Tim) Calvert of Kingwood, WV, Leann Bolyard of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Brandon Cool, Morgantown, Michelle (Derrek) Cool West of Fairmont, WV, Justin Bolyard of Kingwood, WV, David (Beverly) Bolyard of NC; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; his Eastern Star family and church family.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Clifford (Irene) Bolyard, Willard (Belle) Bolyard all were of Rowlesburg; sister, Madeline (Delbert) Sims was of Warren, OH. 

 

Ed graduated from Fellowsville High School with the class of 1955, where he loved playing basketball and racing hot rod cars.  He worked at Manheim Stone Quarry prior to working for Sterling Faucet in Reedsville as a molder.  At the closure of that site, he went into mining construction and then deep coal mining.  He was a member of Fetterman United Methodist Church; Aurora AF & AM No. 43 Masonic Lodge, Newburg, WV; Scottish Rite of Morgantown and Wheeling; Osiris Shriners of Wheeling; Taylor County Shrine Club, Grafton.  He was a member and Past Patron of Naomi Chapter # 12 of Grafton and Morgantown Chapter #35 Order of Eastern Star.

 

As Mr. Bolyard had requested cremation without public viewing or funeral service, a private family inurnment and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to FUMC/AJE Backpack Program in care of Mandy Whitescarver, 929 Crites Rd, Grafton, WV 26354 or Amedisys Hospice, 67 Casino Dr, Suite 102, Anmoore, WV 26323.
