Ivan “Red” Madison Hamrick, 88 of Newburg, WV passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 22, 1931 in Bergoo, WV in Webster County, son of the late Milton and Mary Florence Cutlip Hamrick. Ivan was a timber Cutter for Hines Lumber from 1953-1956. He cut mining timers for strip mines till the mines closed and he moved to Preston County where he started Sterling Faucet in Reedsville in 1963. Ivan retired from Sterling Faucets with thirty years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ivan is survived by his loving wife whom he married February 26, 1956; Maxine May Hamrick; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ivan was preceded in death by five brothers, Arden Hamrick, Arlen Hamrick, Lloyd Hamrick, Elvin Hamrick and Rusty Hamrick; three sisters, Ava Loughery, Ada Dickerson and one at infancy. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 3pm-7pm, and a graveside service will be at Damon Cemetery on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 10am with Pastor Dave Freeman officiating.
