Larry “The Farmer” Waddell Pierce

Larry “The Farmer” W Pierce, 72 of Tunnelton, (Campground Community) went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Pine Ridge with family by his side. He was born on December 17, 1945 at Marquess, son of the late Harold Blakeney and Velma Regina Waddell Pierce. He graduated from Fellowsville High School Class of 1963. Larry served in the United State Army during the Vietnam War.  He retired as a computer operator from WV Net in Morgantown. He loved working on cars and drag racing and his motto was “Haulin’ Hay and Cleanin’ Plows”. Larry is survived by his son, Colin Pierce and wife, Valerie, Tunnelton; one daughter, Carmine Wilson Hammonds and husband Brian, Tunnelton; three grandchildren, Olivia Wilson, Devon Hammonds and Sarah Nicklow; one sister, Sherley Wolfe and husband George “Junior”, Marquess; one aunt Kay and one uncle Paul; and several cousins.  In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Janice “Jan-Jan” Wilson Pierce.  Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, WV, on December 29, 2017 from 2-8pm, and on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 9am until time of service at 11:00 am with Pastor Brian Long officiating.
