Margaret Ann (Hovatter) Ervin

Margaret Ann Ervin, 65 of Independence, WV passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at her residence. She was born October 10, 1952 in Morgantown, daughter of the late Hurshel Hasko and Anna Virginia Smith Hovatter; and step mother, Elizabeth Taylor Hovatter, Grafton. Margie graduated from Newburg High School Class of 1970. Margie was a homemaker and previous worked at Kinney Shoe, Shirt Factory and Kroger’s. Margie loved sewing, crocheting, reading and doing crafts. Margie is survived by her loving husband, Byron Glenn Ervin Jr., one son, Byron Glenn “Buddy” Ervin III and wife, Katherine “Kathy”, Morgantown; one daughter; Susanna “Susie” Rebecca Ervin Miller and husband, Chad, Independence; and Jeffrey Sifers; two grandchildren, Luke Miller and Nadia Ervin; and was grandma to many; two brothers, William Charles Hovatter and wife Sarah, Independence, Jeffrey Lynn Hovatter, Augusta, WV; one sister, Marcia Elaine Kelley and husband Warren, Independence; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Sifers, Melinda Howsare and Mary Swain. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, WV, on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 2pm-8pm, and on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 9am until time of service at 11:00 am with Byron Glenn “Buddy” Ervin III officiating.
