Mary Lou Bolyard Strawser, 79 of Tunnelton, WV passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at her residence with family by her side. She was born February 1, 1939 in Rowlesburg, daughter of the late Chester Stephenson and Dorthea Arietta Stull Bolyard. Mary retired from Wal-Mart with over fifteen years of service. She loved going to church and was a member of the Shay’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Tunnelton VFW Auxiliary and the Tunnelton Senior Center. Mary enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening and doing crafts, but most of all spending time with her family and when having dinners. Mary is survived by three daughters, Karen Theimer and Eddie, Flint Hill, VA, Delisa Riley and John, Tunnelton, Rhonda Ridenour and David, Tunnelton; five grandchildren, Wesley Weaver and April, Amanda Sheetz, Justin Weaver and Stacie, David Mayle and companion Kishia Metheny and Erica Mayle; six great grandchildren, Angel, Mary Rachel, Marcus, Briannna, Chase and Carter; three siblings, Donald Bolyard and Sally, Bybee, TN, Debby Nestor, North Port, FL, Irma Owens and Thomas, Thornton; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Atkins, Tunnelton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband in 2012, Charles Wesley Strawser, one daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Mark Weaver, one grandson, David Weaver, two brothers, Richard Stull and Franklin Atkins, one brother-in-law, David Nestor. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 2-8pm, Sunday, September 9, 2018, from Noon until time of service at 2PM with Rev. Rotha Hall officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery, Grafton.
