Mary "Katty" Kathleen (Lambert) Stone

Mary "Katty" Kathleen Lambert Stone, 86 of Fellowsville, WV passed away surrounded by her loved ones at home on Thursday, August 22, 2019. She was born on January 1, 1933 in Newburg, the daughter of the late Richard and Sophronia Agnes Shaver Lambert. Mary devoted her life to her family. She was a hardworking and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Mary loved cooking, baking and her delicious meals fed many people far and wide, including the annual Richard Stone trail rides. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone that came to her door. Mary is survived by her husband of sixty seven years, Richard Lee Stone. Richard, a retired coalminer and horse trader, devoted his life to Mary, their family and their farm. Mary enjoyed gardening and caring for her animals. She was a born-again Christian, a previous member of the Cool Springs Apostolic Church of the Kingwood Pike and a breast cancer survivor. In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by seven children, Jeanne Wagner and Charles, Rowlesburg, Richard A. Stone, Newburg, Christeen Dalton, Morgantown, Sharon Dalton and Kenny, Arthurdale, Roger Stone, Fellowsville, Charles Stone and Rose, Newburg, Michael Stone, Fellowsville; eight grandchildren, Melissa Hiser and Robert, Morgantown, Clarissa Moats and Virgil, New Creek, Jenny Taylor and Josh, Rowlesburg, Crystal Bennett and Chris, Morgantown, Wendy Taylor and Steve, Arthurdale, Jessie Stone and Angie, Fellowsville, April Simpson, Arthurdale, Eric Dalton, Fairmont; nineteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 12 Noon – 6 PM and on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 9AM until time of service at 11AM with Pastor Sam Cline.
