Patricia "Patty" Ann (Watkins) Pratt

Patricia “Patty” Ann Pratt, 76, of Tunnelton, passed on July 17, 2019, at home with family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.  Patty was born January 11, 1943 at Grafton City Hospital, daughter of the late John and Geneva McGinnis Watkins. Patty is survived by her husband Thomas F. Pratt after sixty years of marriage.  She is also survived by one son, David Allen Pratt and wife Donna, daughter-in-law, Teresa “Michelle” Casteel Pratt West and husband Lloyd, all of Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darwin Pratt and wife Elaine, Elizabeth Ruth Shannon and husband Claude Kennard Shannon, MD, James Zuchowski, all of Tunnelton, and Lulu McCandless Grubb and husband Robert, Fairmont; two grandchildren, Misty Lynn Pratt Dean and husband Greg of Texas and Thomas “TJ” James Allen Pratt and wife Katie Ann of Westover; seven great-grandchildren, William, Matthew, Aiden, Haylei, Austin, Colton and Nicole; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by one son, Larry Pratt, daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Pratt Jenkins and Burton Jenkins, sister-in-law, Shirley Pratt Zuchowski; brother-in-law Daniel Pratt, niece Tori Ann Pratt. Patty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She previously worked as a meat processor, for the Sheltered Workshop and Murphy Mart.   Her hobbies were woodcarving, camping, traveling, exploring her Native American heritage, eating out and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of West End UB Church. She enjoyed singing at churches around the community.  Special thanks are extended to Sandra Bolyard, Raymond Mercure, Russell and Shelby Kyle, WV Caring Hospice, Preston Home Health, Meals on Wheels, and her family for their compassion and support during her illness.  Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, Friday, July 19, 2019 from 4–8PM and on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 9AM until time of service at 11AM with Pastor Carl Trickett. Burial will follow at the Mt Israel Cemetery.
