Robert Bob Armbrester

Robert "Bob" Wesley Armbrester, 76, of Hepzibah, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at his residence. He was born October 17, 1931 in Hedgesville, WV, a son of the late William Dorsey Armbrester and Mary Elizabeth Berkhart Armbrester. He is survived by his long time companion and fiancée Marie B. Huey; three daughters, Darlene Taylor and fiancé Jim Morgan of Hepzibah; Linda "Denise" Stout and Roger of Hepzibah; and Melissa "Missy" Jackson and fiancé John Chipps of Bridgeport. He is also survived by six stepchildren, Louise Romeo, Eva Jarvis, John Huey, Jr., Ruth Longwell, Paul Huey and Sandra Homa. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Melanie Taylor, Robert Jackson, Chelsey Stout, and Timothy Baker; one great grandchild Marissa Taylor; and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Robert is also survived by two brothers, Raymond Armbrester and wife Ruby, and Vernon Armbrester and wife Betty; two sisters, Helen Foltz and Ruth Linton. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Mae "Jenny" Sendling Armbrester; one brother and sister in law Charles and Josephine Armbrester; two brothers-in-law, Carl Foltz and Arlington "Doc" Linton. Mr. Armbrester had many careers before retiring with 20 years of service with the UMWA District 31 Martinka Mines of Colfax, WV. He will always be remembered as someone who could be called upon for plowing gardens, electrical work, or for any favor. His daughters will always cherish him for everything he did to make them who they are today. Robert was a long time farmer and craftsman who enjoyed hunting, boating and camping. Robert was saved and attended the Noah's Ark Church in Fairview. Family and friends may call at the Dorsey Funeral Home, Shinnston from 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday, February 6, 2008, and on Thursday from 11:00AM until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 1:00p.m. at Dorsey Funeral Home with Pastor Craig Falkenstine officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Clarksburg, WV.
