Robert "Bob" Lee Zuchowski

Robert “Bob”Lee Zuchowski, 78 of Independence, WV passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Mon General Hospital. Bob was born October 2, 1940, in Howesville, son of the late Thomas August and Rosie Catherine (Powroznik) Zuchowski. He loved bear hunting, fishing and hunting. Bob retired from Island Creek Coal Company and was a coalminer for thirty eight years. He is survived by his companion of forty years, Virginia “Ginny” Larew; one son, Robert “Bobby” Junior Zuchowski and companion Tina Silcott, Newburg; one daughter, Roxane “Roxie”  Zuchowski, Morgantown; and Bobby and Roxane’s mother, Glenda Joyce Zuchowski, Morgantown; one stepson, Kevin Barto and wife Danz, York, PA;  one granddaughter, Shelby Zuchowski, one grandson, Austin Zuchowski, one great-grandson, Parker Allen Everly; two step grandsons, Dylan and Luke; two brothers and spouses, Harry Zuchowski and Barb, Pat Zuchowski and Liz all of Independence; one sister Madeline Trickett, Arthurdale; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Tom Zuchowski, Joey Zuchowski and William Zuchowski; three sisters, Pauline Conversona, Rose Tarr, and  Josephine Gribble. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, WV, Monday, July 8, 2019 from 2 PM – 8 PM and on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 9AM until time of service at 11AM with Pastor Nick Bolyard.
