Ruth Morgan

Ruth Elaine (Myer) Morgan, 78, of Wolf Summit, WV, found peace on Wednesday morning, March 14, 2007, at the home of her daughter Diane in Cottageville, WV.
She was born on December 20, 1928 in Barberton, OH, a daughter of the late Loxlie O. and Losha V. Bland Myer.
On February 23, 1951, she married Chester L. Morgan who survives in Wolf Summit.
Ruth is survived by six sons, Danny P. Myer and wife Mary Lou of Morgantown, WV, Stephen H. Fox and wife Robyn of Tennessee, Richard L. Morgan of Sistersville, WV, James W. Morgan of Wolf Summit, John R. Morgan and wife Donna of Georgia, and Jerry L. Morgan of Wolf Summit; one daughter, Diane Ruth Shaffer and husband Stanley K. of Cottageville, WV; one brother, Robert E. Myer and companion Kathy Snow of Jane Lew, WV; one sister, Linda S. Butcher of New Martinsville, WV; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Sheila, Donna, Peggy and Katrina.
Ruth graduated from Salem High School in 1946. She worked for Maidenform for several years and later worked as a hostess for the Towne House East and Ellis Restaurant for many years and retired with ten years of service at the IBEW Union Hall as an accountant and secretary.
Her hobbies included reading, sewing, growing flowers and plants, shopping, and yard sales.
She was Methodist by Faith. Friends may call at the Greathouse Funeral Home in Salem, WV on Friday, March 16, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 11:00 AM, with son-in-law, Rev. Stanley K. Shaffer officiating.
Interment will follow at the Shirley Cemetery in Shirley, WV.
