Shirley Elizabeth Cook, 60 of Terra Alta, WV passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 with family by her side. She was born on July 17, 1957 in Manown, WV, daughter of the late Zane and Rachel Metheny Hovatter. Shirley worked as a food service worker for many years. She loved to draw holiday cards and spending time with family. Shirley is survived by one daughter; Heather Basaldella and husband Andrew, Kingwood; one step-son, Tony Cook, KY; step-daughter, Shannon Cook-Stanton, KY; the children’s father, Anthony Cook, Terra Alta; one grandson, Mason Basaldella; four step grandchildren; five siblings, Maxine Miller, Tunnelton, Robert Hovatter and Mary, Rowlesburg, Kenny Hovatter and Deb, Kingwood, Helen Knotts and Mark, Terra Alta, Jack Hovatter and Anna, Eglon; and several nieces and nephews.
