Barbara Bolyard Obituary

Barbara JoClair Bolyard, 81 of Sinclair area of Fellowsville was called home on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at her residence with family by her side. She was born on October 20, 1938 in Sinclair, daughter of the late John F and Mary Elizabeth Colebank Murray. Barbara lived a life of simplicity on the family farm. Her greatest pastime was gardening, mushroom hunting and picking greens, and she took pride in the fruits of her labor. In her eyes there was nothing as good as half runner beans and delicious garden tomatoes. Everyone who knew Barbara would say she was a hard worker. She retired from Sterling Faucet in 1995 after twenty nine years of service. In addition to her “day Job”, she worked on the farm and took care of her family. Barbara graduate from Fellowsville High School, Class of 1958. She was a member of the Sinclair United Methodist Church and through her long illness, she never lost faith in her dear lord and savior. She was a member of the Tunnelton VFW Lady Auxiliary Post #2345. Barbara is survived by her husband of fifty five years, Junior Ray Bolyard; three sons, Douglas R Bolyard and Michelle, Moatsville, Timothy L Bolyard, Moatsville, Marvin L Bolyard and Jennifer, Kanetown; four grandchildren, Courtney, Nathan, Samantha and Halee Bolyard; five great-grandchildren, Dominic, Bryson, Ashllynne, Camden and Easton; six siblings and spouses, Sarah Bolyard and Arnold, Moatsville, Wanda King, Stevensburg, Sandra Murray, Fellowsville, Jerry Murray and Norma, Moatsville, Jack Murray and Karen, Fellowsville and John (Johnny) Murray and Pennie; Brother-in-laws, Lee Bolyard and Jeannie, Moatsville, Edward Bolyard and Linda, Moatsville; sister-in-laws, Judy Bewely and Lewis and Carol Keller and Stanley all of Martinsville, IN; several nieces and nephews who adore and cherish their Aunt Barb. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by one grandson, Bradley Bolyard, one brother, Ernie Murray; one sister, Shirley Holipski; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Darus and Helen Bolyard. Barbara will be deeply missed by husband and family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sinclair United Methodist Church c/o Sarah Bolyard, 2924 Sinclair Road, Moatsville, WV 26405. The family sends special thanks to Amedysis Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Barbara, they thank the many family and friends who have lent a helping hand over the years with a special thank you to Elizabeth King and Judy Haskiell. Family will receive friends at Bolyard Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 from 2:00-7PM with proper distancing and face mask required. A private service will be held on Thursday at 11:00AM with Rev David Spence officiating. Interment will follow at Mt Zion Cemetery. We will be webcasting the service on her memorial page on the funeral home website. If for some reason the webcast drops we will finish recording and reload once completed to watch.
