Beverly Joanne Shrout

Beverly Joanne Shrout, 74 of Thornton (Evansville Community) formerly of Kingwood passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023. She was born on May 17, 1949, in Kingwood, daughter of the late Lewis S and Elden B (Lazzelle) Rager. Beverly worked for Food Supply, Ace Hardware, Bausch and Lomb, Rite Aid and Wal Mart. She loved reading and crocheting. Beverly is survived by two daughter, Rhonda Friend and Gary, Thornton, Glenna Whetsell and Tracy, Kingwood; two grandchildren, Greg Smith and Tiffany, Cheat Lake, Brittany Crabtree and Nick, Clear Brook, VA; four great-grandchildren, Maelee and Greyson Smith, Owen and Brady Crabtree; four step grandchildren, Shelly Rocha and companion, Joshua Hite, Morgantown, Heidi Sharpless and Mike, Point Marion, PA, Tyler (Abby) Whetsell  and son, Tucker, Ormond Beach, FL, Logan Whetsell, Kingwood; six-step great-grandchildren, Whitney and Jake Metheny, Briar Felton, Josh, Nate and Ellie Hite; very special friends, Shawna, John, Austyn and Lexy Stull, Joyce and MaKenzie Goodwin; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Gene Shrout on June 14, 2021; one granddaughter, Tiffany M Smith; six brothers, Ronald Rager, Gary Rager, Richard Rager, Dana Lee Rager, Lewis Rager and Terry Rager. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, WV, Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Gina Knapp Frazee officiating.
