Carmita Ruth Sharps

Carmita Ruth Sharps, 86 of Newburg, WV passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 23, 1939 in Fetterman, daughter of the late John Henry and Geraldine Mae (Dadisman) Sharps. Carmita attended the CEC Gospel Lighthouse Church in Birdscreek where she loved to sing. She enjoyed watching TV, doing puzzles and coloring. Carmita is survived by two brothers, Jonathan D Sharps (Clara), VA, Ronald Sharps (Patricia), SC; two sisters-in-law, Linda S King Sharps, Newburg and Lyne Sharps, FL; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carmita is preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel David Sharps and Loyde Sharps. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, WV, Monday, July 14, 2025 from 3:00 – 7:00PM and Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 9:00 am until time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Anderson officiating.  Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Scotch Hill.
