Charles Ray Hall

Charles Ray Hall, 68 of Fairmont, WV, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at his residence. He was born February 4, 1953 in Thornton, son of the late Paul Walter and Loretta Antille (Bowman) Hall. Ray graduated from Newburg High School, Class of 1972. He had worked at the Helmick Corporation in Fairmont as a Machinist. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors in general, and especially loved family time with his grandchildren. He was a Deacon at the Church of Christ in Morgantown on Greenbag Road. Ray is survived by his loving wife of forty five years, Martha Sue (Brewer) Hall, Fairmont;  two daughters, Becky Lynn Adams and John, Weirton, WV, Susan Rae Ennis and Toby, Harrodsburg, KY; seven grandchildren, Dakota Wade Ennis, Danielle Renae Adams, Mackenzie Dawn Adams, Gracie Marie Ennis, Abigail Rose Adams, Clay Warren Ennis and Korbin Walker Ennis; six brothers, Walter “Lee”  Hall and Rotha, Masontown, Larry “Dink” Hall, Terra Alta, William “Bill” Hall and Margaret, Monterey, VA, Paul Jr “Peanuts”Hall and Patsy, Reedsville, Ott “Cricket” Hall, Independence, James “Shrimp” Hall and Charlena, Yelm, WA, two sisters, Betty “Sadie” Blosser and Arthur, Reedsville; Kathryn “Sis” Rose and Brian, Grafton, one aunt, Irene Bowman Workman and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by one sister, Bertha Irene Hall Knotts in 1997, two brothers, John Dewey Hall in 2011, Roger Lee “Shorty” Hall in 2014, and two sisters-in-law, Laura Togher and Judy Hall. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to WV Caring. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St., Newburg, WV, Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 1-8 pm and Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 11:00 am until the service at 1:00 pm with the Evangelist David Brewer officiating.
