Charles "Skeet" Frank Shafferman

Charles “Skeet” Frank Shafferman, 81 of Newburg, WV passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at his residence with family by his side. He was born February 11, 1938 in Newburg, son of the late Luther and Dessie Deavers Shafferman. Charles served in the United States Army and was station in Germany. He enjoyed tinkering with cars, loved doing woodworking. Charles worked in construction and was self-employed. Charles is survived by his wife, Pauline Deloris Pyles Shafferman; five children, Sandra Mae-Schoen and Kenneth, Hawk, MI, Mona Lisa Shipp and Timothy, Thornton, Brenda Marie Shafferman, Bryd, TX, Charles Henry Shafferman and Carrie, Kingwood, Jason Albert Shafferman and Amy, Newburg; seven grandchildren, Veronica, Alexander, Randy, Colon, Cara, Ciera and Cenzie; six great-grandchildren, Leesa, Liam, Rodney, Travis, Alex, Jr and Chase. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by one grandson, Nicholas Swan. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 2pm until time of funeral service at 7pm. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Pratt Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Col.
