David Ray Martin

David Ray Martin, 76 of Gladesville, WV went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 24, 2021. He was born in Fellowsville, on January 24, 1945, son of the late Dell and Hazel Simpson Martin. David worked at West Virginia University for forty-two years until he retired in 2011. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, making people laugh and most of all spending time with his family. He knew no stranger and always had a joke or wise crack to say. David is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Ruth Renee (Bucklew) Martin; four sons, Eric Martin and spouse, Alisa, Kingwood, Curtis Martin and spouse, Anita, Masontown, Christopher Martin and girlfriend, Marcie, Gladesville, and youngest son, Anthony Martin, Gladesville; one sister, Joyce Eagle, Fellowsville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and grandparents, David was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Everett, Dorsey and Roy; one sister, Betty Bell. Family will receive friends at Bolyard Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, from 2-7 PM and Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 11AM until time of service at 1PM with Pastor Terry Hagerdorn officiating. Interment will follow at Gladesville Cemetery.
