Dennis James Trickett, Sr., 73 of Independence, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Madison in Morgantown with family by his side. May the Lord hold him. He was born on March 6, 1949 in Morgantown, son of the late Robert H Trickett and Margaret Lou “Smith” Trickett. Dennis graduated from Newburg High School, Class of 1967. He worked approximately ten years for Pittsburgh Valve in Reedsville, then twenty-five years as a residential drywall hanger before becoming disabled. After retiring his greatest joy was caring for his late mother, Margaret and his loving cat “Loppy”. He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. Dennis is survived by his beloved son, Dennis “Denny” James Trickett Jr. and wife, Amber of Carmichaels, PA; two granddaughters, Carly Samantha Fisher and Brandon, Grafton, Cassy Dawn Trickett, Fort Worth, TX; one sister, Ruth Ann Sapp and husband, Wayne, OH; one brother, Michael Robert Trickett and wife, Belinda, Independence; one nephew, Sean Sapp and wife, Renee, OH. And a special thank you to those special friends and family that made his life meaningful and complete, so hold those memories forever. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV, on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 4pm until the time of service at 7 pm with the Pastor Carl Trickett officiating. Interment will be at Gladesville Cemetery on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Newburg Volunteer Fire Department 125 Chestnut Ridge Hts. Newburg, WV 26410.
