Diana "Lynn" Wolfe Obituary

Diana “Lynn” (Spiker) Wolfe, 72, of Fellowsville, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family—exactly where she felt most at peace.

Born on October 25, 1953, in Kingwood, she was the beloved daughter of the late Lester Eugene and Mary Jo (Newcome) Spiker. Lynn lived a life rooted in care, service, and fierce devotion to those she loved. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, she spent more than 20 years compassionately caring for others at Heartland of Preston County and Preston Memorial Hospital. She later continued her service through more than a decade with the Preston County Board of Education before retiring—leaving behind countless lives touched by her kindness and strength. Lynn was also a former member of Mountaineer Ambulance and the Fellowsville Volunteer Fire Department, always willing to step up, lend a hand, and serve her community whenever she was needed. Helping others wasn’t just something she did—it was who she was.

Lynn had a gift for making a house feel like home. She was an excellent cook whose meals brought family together, and she found joy tending to her flowers and garden, crocheting, reading, and playing her favorite games—solitaire, bingo, gin rummy, and canasta. She also had a playful fondness for collecting frogs, a small reflection of her fun-loving spirit.

Above all else, Lynn’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She loved deeply, loudly, and unapologetically—never shy about “yelling” at those she adored as her own unique way of showing affection. Her presence filled rooms, and her absence will be felt in countless quiet moments.

On July 5, 1991, Lynn married the love of her life, Clinton “JR” George Wolfe, with whom she shared a life full of memories, laughter, and unwavering partnership.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, JR; her five children, Chris McDaniel (Tomma) of Rowlesburg, Thomas McDaniel (Correna) of Fellowsville, Erika Pacheco (Bert) of Kingwood, Kristen Shade (Chad) of Fellowsville, and Ashlee Zinn (David) of Fellowsville; sixteen cherished grandchildren—Ashley, Abby, Brianna, Bryan, Nicole, Charles “Alex,” Valory, Arabella, Madechai, Ava, Claire, Serenity, Jeremy, Isaiah, Eric, and Bo; and sixteen great-grandchildren who were the sparkle in her eyes.

She is also survived by her brother, Rick Spiker (Sandy) of Tunnelton; her sister, Sue Fortney (Denny) of Newburg; her mother-in-law, Sherley (Pierce) Wolfe; her brother-in-law, Harold Richard Wolfe (Jana) of Tunnelton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever carry her memory.

In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her father-in-law, George Junior Wolfe.

Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Avenue, Newburg, WV, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m., with Rev Rotha Ruth Hall officiating.
