Dorcey "Eugene" Gribble

Dorcey “Eugene” Gribble, 70 of Kingwood, WV passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023. He was born on December 13, 1953, son of the late Harvey Edward Gribble and Mary Elizabeth (Albright) Wolfe and his stepfather, Ernest Watson Wolfe. Eugene graduated from Newburg High School, Class of 1972. He served in the United States Army for seven years during the Vietnam War. He retired as a coalminer from Cumberland Mines in PA with forty-six years of service. Eugene loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by two sons, Eric Eugene Gribble and Monnie Jo, Kingwood, Watson Alan Gribble and Roberta, Fellowsville; five grandchildren, Alex Gribble, Haden Gribble, Gavin Gribble, Katelyn Gribble and Kamryn Gribble; one brother, Gary Wayne Gribble and Ann Wyatt, Fellowsville; one sister, Frances Boyce and Duane, Grafton; Carolyn Helmick and Jody, Harpers Ferry; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and stepfather, Eugene is preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey Gribble and David Gribble; and one sister, Marjorie Weatherwax.
