Doris Jean (Danks) Knotts

Doris Jean Knotts, 49, of Newburg, WV, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, at Preston Memorial Hospital. She was born July 1, 1976, a daughter of Richard Dare and Betty Louise (Kisner) Danks. Doris had worked at Heartland as a CNA for over 10 years. She was currently working as a cashier at the Par Mar Store in Manown. She enjoyed going to the beach, camping, playing cards and spending time with family. Doris is survived by Patrick Deavers (Erica), Justin Deavers, Dominic Deavers, Luke Deavers (Isabella), Kaylie Sisler, and Randy Knotts, Jr.; two grandchildren, Joshlynn Deavers and Kenair Deavers; three brothers, David Danks, John Danks (Catherine), and Daniel Danks (Shawna), all of Newburg; four sisters, Mary Fizer (Willie) of Kingwood, Sueellen Dillsworth, Kingwood , Linda Danks, Howesville, WV, and Joanna Neel (Walter) of Morgantown, WV; nieces and nephews, Tammy Rowlette (Robert), Emily Bunner (Caleb), Willie Fizer IV, Chloe Fizer, Mark Fizer, James Deavers, Cassie Deavers, Brittany Amber Stevens (Luke), Ryan Alan Dillsworth (Crislyn); Isaac Smelter, Cassidy Simmons; Jennifer Lytle, Natasha Brieghner, and Ronald Davis, Jr; great nieces and nephews,  Ariana Hovatter, Jade McCormick, Michael Hovatter, Serenity Hovatter, Emma Dillsworth, Easton Dillsworth, Abigal Grace Smeltzer, and Elisha Bunner. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by one son, Carl Junior Deavers; one daughter, Taylor Benson; one nephew, Aaron Fizer and one niece, Opal Joy Stevens. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, WV, Monday, September 22, 2025 from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm with the Pastor Terry Cumberland officiating.  Interment will follow at Pratt Cemetery, Newburg.
