Doyle Clifton “Kip” Colebank, 81, of Fellowsville, WV, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 23, 1944, a son of the late Hazel (Weaver) Colebank. Kip worked at Dutch’s Filling Station as a young man, the sawmill on Racoon Valley Road, the B&O Railroad, and finally Manheim Stone Quarry in Rowlesburg. He enjoyed coon and deer hunting, fishing, and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and was a founder of Concerned Citizens of Preston County. He championed environmental issues in the Fellowsville area, including cleaning of streams and rivers in southern Preston County. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time on the farm with family and friends.
Kip is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda Ray (Boyles) Colebank; one son, Clifton Colebank (Kimberly); and a son-in-law, Scott Savage; siblings Gene Colebank of Grafton, Sandra Lyons (George) of Arthurdale, and Helen Diaz (Freddie) of Detroit, MI; grandchildren Candace Gattens (Bobby), Miranda Maxwell (Michael), Andrew Cuppett, Rylee Colebank, Autumn Savage, Adrian Witte (Ashley), Nathan Savage (Nicole), Ashley Jenkins (Shane), and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his beautiful daughter, Belinda Rae (Colebank) Savage; five brothers, Leon "Bill" Colebank, Howard "Ike" Colebank, James "Tommy" Colebank, Argle Colebank, and Donald Colebank; three sisters, Betty Colebank McGinnis, Sylvia Shahan, and Dori Miller.
Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Avenue, Newburg, WV, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 11:00 am until the service at 1:00 pm with the Pastor John Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Israel Cemetery on Marquess Road, Fellowsville, WV. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mount Israel Cemetery Association, Mount Israel Church or Mount Israel Community Building.
