Edward “Bud” Glen Sharp, 81 of Independence passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019. He was born October 14, 1937, son of the late Joseph and Catherine Sharp. Bud worked as a security officer in Wooster, OH, and worked in the coal mines and also at Hopemont Hospital. His hobbies were wood working and building little churches and buildings out of match sticks, and crocheting. He is survived by four children, Charlie W Sharp and Sandra Kay, Newburg, Everett J Sharp and Robin, Summersville, WV, David R Sharp and Wendy, Independence; one daughter, Loretta J Poling and Bud, Grafton; like a son, Joseph and Sheila Braddock whom he made his home with; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his four legged companions, Shebie and Sassy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Lee Sharp. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 2pm until time of service at 4pm with Pastor Delbert Lyons officiating.
