Elizabeth "Joan" Davis

Elizabeth “Joan” Davis, 85 of Fellowsville, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022. She was born on August 23, 1937 in Fairmont, daughter of the late Thomas and Wilda (Saffell) McCord. Joan graduated from East Fairmont High School. She worked in her younger years as a Telephone Operator in Fairmont and at Horner & Harrison Department Store at the Fairmont Mall before retiring. She loved sewing, gardening, reading, doing puzzles and crosswords. She was a member of the Fellowsville Assembly of God Church and very active being a preacher’s wife. Joan is survived by three children, Vickie Deleruyelle and John, Belpre, OH, Bill A Davis Jr, Grafton, Beth Ann Davis, Parkersburg; seven grandchildren, Shasta Thompson, Sonah Smith and Abe Abraham, Daniel Davis, Sarah Miller, Matthew Miller and Ashley, Isaac Jarrett, James Jarrett; five great grandchildren, Mycajah, Cali, ZaKari, Braxton and Kensley; one brother, Ronald McCord, Marion, VA. In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her husband, William Arlington Davis Sr., two daughters, Vonda Z Jarrett and Rebecca Joan Davis; three sisters, Dorothy Haught, Jeannie Francis and Faye Musick.  Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon with the Pastor Kevin Leadbeater officiating. Private Interment will be at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens. A meal will follow the service at the Fellowsville Assembly of God Church.
