Forest McKinley Goff, Jr. 78 of Rowlesburg passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Mon General Hospital with family by his side. He was born on July 10, 1946, in Philippi, a son of the late Forest McKinley Goff Sr and Vivian Rose (Lee) Goff. Forest served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He loved his animals, collecting coins, hunting, and spending time with his grandbabies. Forest was a member of the VFW in Rowlesburg Post#3008. Forest is survived by one son, Sheldon Goff and wife, Jennifer; one daughter, Summer Perea all of Rowlesburg; four grandchildren, Tanis Goff, Kitara Goff, Ayla Fitchett and husband Thomas, Shiona Perea and companion Morgan Watkins; four great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Waverley, Lucan and Alistair; two brothers, Larry Goff and wife Linda, and John Goff and wife Brenda, all of Rowlesburg; three sisters, Patricia Jankowski, Elkhorn, WI, Vivian Myers and husband Walter, Charleston, Sharon Stemple, Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Forest is preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Ann (Bolyard) Goff in 2018. A Graveside Service will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 2:00PM with full military honors accorded by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the US Navy Honor Guard.
