Franklin Duane Cole

Franklin Duane Cole 60, of Reedsville, WV, passed away on August 1, 2023.  Frank, fondly known as “Jelly Belly” was born on August 25, 1962 to the late Buck “Jake” and Doris Cole. He proudly served in the United States Army. Frank was strong willed and as stubborn as they come, but he had an enormous heart & an uplifting sense of humor that could put a smile on anyone’s face. He had a strong love for camping, bonfires & music. Frank loved his family and spending time with his cat Miss Kitty. He leaves behind one brother, Jeff Cole and Jackie Wood of Kingwood WV; one daughter, Sarah Hyre and husband Jeremy Hyre; one grandson, which was his pride and joy, Dakotah Hyre and Maryann Wolfe of Independence, WV; stepmother, Peg Cole of Kingwood WV, and several nieces & nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Melissa McGinnis that helped take care of him.
Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm with Pastor John Brosky officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Pisgah, WV where full military honors being accorded by the Preston County Honor Guard and the US Army Honor Guard.
