Glenna Jeanne (Soulon) Hovatter

Glenna Jeanne Soulon Hovatter, 87 of Newburg, (Scotch Hill Community) passed away on Monday, February 07, 2022 at Windy Hill Village with family by her side. She was born on November 14, 1934 in Odin, IL, daughter of the late Walter “Harold” and Burlie “Hedges” Newell. Glenna enjoyed doing crafts, decorating cakes, volunteering with church events and she was always helping her husband on the farm. She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. Glenna is survived by her two children, Susan J Annon and Donald, Newburg, Ann M Crowe,  Uniontown, PA; four grandchildren, Wanda Maxwell and Richard, Newburg, Vance Annon, Newburg, Becky Bolyard, Newburg, Bradlee Annon, Homer City, PA; five great-grandchildren, Megan Elliott and husband Bradford, Logan Maxwell, Cordell Bolyard, Jonathan Annon and Brandon Iandiorio; one great great granddaughter, Morgan Elliott; two sisters, Pansy Gayheart, Donna Huckabone and Tom, one sister-in-law, Sandy Boyd, all of Ohio; one brother-in-law, Bill Hovatter, Evansville. In addition to her parents, Glenna was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald J Hovatter in 2012; one daughter Clara I (Reenie) Lewis in 2016; one son, Steven R Hovatter in 2017; two brothers, Charles Boyd and Dallas Boyd; one sister and brother-in-law, Frances Bolyard and Ronald; three brothers-in-laws, Donald, Claude and Elmer Hovatter, two sister-in-law, Betty Bolyard and Clarissa Boyd.. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV, from ­­3-8 pm Thursday, February, 10, 2022, and from 9am until the time of service at 11am on Friday, February, 11, 2022 with the John Burns officiating.
