Harold Thomas Blackburn

Harold Thomas Blackburn, 80 of Thornton, WV passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at his residence with family by his side. He was born on December 16, 1940 in Purgitsville, WV, son of the late Luther Andrew and Edith Madyln (Raines) Blackburn. Harold had worked in construction as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He loved hunting, riding his four-wheeler and being on his farm. Harold is survived by his wife, Karen Sue (Teague) Blackburn; one daughter, Shoshana Balatbat-Ruiz and Luiz, North Charleston, SC; several grandchildren; two sisters, Iris Jenkins-Cooksey and John, Boonsboro, MD, Freda Dohoney, Salisbury, MD; one brother, Jerry Blackburn, Alamogordo, NM; special friends, Jeff Knotts and Rick Knotts, Knottsville, and his four legged companion, Houdini; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Bolyard Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the cremation and honored to serve the Blackburn family.
