James "Jim" Kenneth Owens

James Kenneth Owens, 88 of Tunnelton, WV passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025 at his residence with family by his side. He was born on April 06, 1937 on Laurel Mountain, son of the late Henry Oscar and Levada (Bolyard) Owens. Jim retired in 1988 as a Coal Miner from T & T Energy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, working in his garden and canning tomatoes, cooking, and watching westerns. Jim was a loving husband, great Dad and Pap. Jim is survived by his children, Rita and Danny Maxwell, Tunnelton, Donna and Carl McNear, Kingwood, Kenneth Owens, Cheryl and Herbert Hawkins, Jimmy Owens, Marlene and Brian Travis and Dean and Darinda Owens all of Tunnelton; he is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Tom Owens and Irma, Thornton, Randy Owens; his fur-baby, Annie Belle; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Owens in 2012; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Owens; ten siblings, Blondell Owens, Jean Owens, Marquerite Shaver, Mary Jane Bolyard, Shirley Harris, Calvin Owens, Glenn Owens, Fred Owens, Daniel Owens and Naomi Pifer.  Online condolences can be sent to www.bolyardfuneralhomewv.
