James "Jimmy AKA Hot Dog Jim" Owens

James “Jimmy” “AKA Hot Dog Jim” D Owens, 60 of Tunnelton, WV passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at CAMC General in Charleston. He was born on March 13, 1965 in Morgantown, son of the late James Kenneth and Barbara Ann (Johnson) Owens.

Jimmy was a man who loved life wholeheartedly. A devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Elvis Presley, he found joy in cheering on his team, listening to his favorite music, watching game shows, and reading his treasured wrestling books.

Above all, Jimmy’s greatest pride was his family. His nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He will be remembered for his loyalty, his passions, and the deep love he shared with those closest to him.

Jimmy is survived by his brothers and sisters, Rita Maxwell (Danny), Tunnelton, Donna McNear (Carl), Kingwood, Kenneth Owens, Cheryl Hawkins (Herbert), Marlene Travis (Brian) and Dean Owens all of Tunnelton; he is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews and 33 great-nieces and nephews; three uncles, Tom Owens (Irma), and Randy Owens, both of Thornton;  Gary Johnson, Howesville; sister-in-law, Darinda Owens, Tunnelton; and his best friend, Carla Ridenour, Newburg; and several cousins.
