Janet Ruth Bolyard

Janet Ruth Bolyard, 74 of Scotch Hill, WV, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. She was born on June 18, 1950 in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late William and Winnie Funkhouser Lipscomb. Janet loved collecting antiques and enjoyed hunting mushrooms, ramps, canning, doing her flowers beds, and putting up Christmas decorations. Janet was a very giving person, always lending a hand. She was a hard worker her entire life and had worked at Rosewood and Abundant Life Landscaping. Janet is survived by three daughters, Yvonne “Cookie” Wilson (Bobby), Independence, Michelle (Shelly) Dawn Manchester (Steve), Milton, Kimberly (Kimmy) Jean Bolyard, Grafton; seven grandchildren, Brannon Wilson, Michael Todd McClintick Jr., McKayla D Spurlock (John), Brayden Manchester, Skyler Manchester, Megan Ball and Logan Ball; five great-grandchildren, Aubrymia, Grayson, Nixon, Kurt and Rodger; one step-grandchild, Richie Manchester; two step-great grandkids, Rylee and Myles Manchester;  four siblings, Lucy Virginia “Nan” Larew (late Robert “Bob” Zuchowski) Independence, Charlotte Weaver (Richard), Grafton, Freddy Bucklew (Julie), Mansfield, TN, Tucker Henderson (Norma), Independence; best friend Sue Tichnell (Randy) Scotch Hill and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by one son, Vernon Bolyard; two brother, Billy Lipscomb and LeRoy Bush; one sister, Ruth Mitter. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 11:00 am until time of service at 3 pm with Rocky Ridenour officiating.
