Janet Lee (Jakeway) Hardesty

Janet Lee Jakeway Hardesty, 73 of Thornton, WV passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Ward Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Spring. She was born on January 9, 1947 at Morgantown, daughter of the late Robert L Jakeway. Janet graduated from University High School. She loved sewing, gardening, traveling and spending time with Richard, R.J., Deena and her family and friends. Janet is survived by one son, Robert “RJ” Powell Jr and companion, Deena Snyder, Morgantown; her companion, Richard Hoffman, Great Capon, WV; one sister, Lana Faber and Ron, Morgantown, one sister-in-law, Retha Jakeway and one nephew, Travis Jakeway and Josie, Montana; her best friend, Ginna Hart, Morgantown. In addition to her father, Janet was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Jakeway. A Private graveside services will be held at Zion Cemetery, Sunset Beach, Morgantown.
