Jennie Mae Frazier

Jennie Mae Frazier, 96 of Newburg, WV, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Janet’s Heavenly Home. She was born on March 10, 1927 in Rowlesburg, Lantz Ridge Community, daughter of the late Holden Benjamin Shay and Ethel Mae (Myers) Shay. Her late husband, James Bernard Frazier whom she married on February 14, 1951. Jennie became a member of the Newburg United Methodist Church in May 1952 and was an active member for many years. She was chairman of Education, Evangelist, Pastor-Parish Relations, Sunday School Teacher for many years, church treasurer, and she dedicated her life to church and put the LORD first in her life, then family always. She enjoying gardening, sewing and quilting. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Jennie is survived by her children, Carolyn Sue Fizer, Kingwood, Judy Marie Hamilton, Williamston, SC, Peter “Pete” Bernard Frazier and Tracy Uphold, Newburg, Melissa Holipski and Gary, Castlewood, VA; six grandchildren, Willie Fizer and Mary, Kingwood, Troy Fizer and Emma, Kingwood, Heather Adams, Tunnelton, Anthony Fizer, Kingwood, Gina Marie Pyles and Cody, Thornton, Chase Bryson Holipski; twelve great-great grandchildren, Tammy, Emily, Chloe, Little Willie, Mark, Troy Jr., Isabella, Ashton, Kaden, Carter, Amelia and Anthony Jr; one great-great grandchildren, Aria; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jennie is preceded in death by her husband, James Bernard Frazier in 1998; three sisters, Mary Pyles, Helen Knotts, Louise Shay; three brothers, Holden “Bud” Shay, Fred Shay, Francis Shay. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Newburg United Methodist Church from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dave Freeman officiating.
