Joann Geraldine (Ketterman) Butler

Joann Geraldine Ketterman Butler, 75 of Wallace, WV, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at her home with family by her side.  She was born April 15, 1945 in Fellowsville, WV, daughter of the late James “Andy” Andrew and Myrtle Bennett Ketterman.  Joann was an insurance agent, and owner of Butler Produce and Bakery. Her hobbies were cooking, canning, and going to Flea Markets and Amish Country. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She is survived by her husband, James Rodney Butler whom she married on December 29, 2010; five children, Edward Messenger and Sharon, Fairmont, Lana Kantes and Robert, Independence, Tina DeVaughn and Thomas, Sr, Follansbee, Gloria Fletcher and Jeffrey, Ashland, KY, and James Messenger and Deanna, Newburg; two stepchildren, Amanda Kaye Dolan and Lee Ann Monk, both of Moundsville; fifteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; one sister, Mae Ketterman Huffman, Morgantown; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, James E Messenger Jr; her siblings, Frank Bolyard, Jacob Ketterman, James Ketterman, and Talma Ketterman Isner.  Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive Clarksburg, WV 26301 on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 3 to 7 PM and at Bolyard Funeral Home 79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV 26410 on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 9 AM until time of Funeral Service at 1:00PM with Rev Leroy Haught officiating with proper distancing and face mask required.
