John Grose Obituary

John Allen Grose, 87 of Morgantown, WV, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born February 13, 1932 in Independence, son of the late Simon and Vesta Hash Grose. John served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He attended Fairmont State and got his degree in Industrial Education.  He worked for the Bureau of Prison for the Kennedy Center in Morgantown. He enjoyed reading, and woodworking. John is survived by one son, Douglas Grose, Gladesville; one daughter, Shari Thompson and Tim, Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, David Allen Grose, James Maxwell Grose, Aston Thompson and Alex Wade Thompson; one sister, Carol Sue Kane, Sebastopol, CA. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his grandson, John Douglas Grose; two brothers, Paul Grose and Carl Grose; one sister, Betty DeBerry. The family would like to thank Morgantown Health and Rehabilitation and Ruby Memorial Hospital for the excellent care.
