Joseph "Joe" Lynn McGinnis

Joseph “Joe” Lynn McGinnis, 66 of Kingwood, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020.  He was born September 27, 1953, in Grafton, son of the late Jack Duane and Clarissa Adaline Phillips McGinnis. Joe graduated from Newburg High School, Class of 1971. He was employed as a driver with Postal Fleet and Collins Transport and previously worked for the WVU Extension Service as well as his own business, Computer Mapping Consultants (CMC) in Oakland, MD. Joe loved watching movies, camping, going to the beach, being outdoors, history, and family reunions. He loved his family time especially any time he could spend with his grandsons. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow with Troop #80 in Newburg. Joe is survived by his wife, Paula Iona Morris McGinnis whom he married on July 14, 1974; two children, Bethany Haymond and Justin, Kingwood, Nathan McGinnis and Brandi, Inwood, WV; two grandchildren who he adored, Garrett Joseph Haymond and Nash Preston McGinnis; two brothers, Thomas Carlisle McGinnis and Sheila, Bentleyville, PA, Charles Timothy McGinnis and Linda, Fairmont; one sister-in-law, Jeanie McGinnis, Leary, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by one grandchild, Emmett John Haymond and one brother, William “Bill” Duane McGinnis. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, WV on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 2PM until the time of The Celebration of Life Service at 7:30PM with proper social distancing and face mask required.
