Lonnie Paul Plum, 65 of Kingwood, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023 at his residence with family by his side. He was born on July 1, 1957, in Grafton, son of the late Bertus Clarence and Mable Evelyn (Trickett) Plum. Lonnie served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a truck driver and did long hauling. Lonnie enjoyed driving truck, camping, collecting cookie jar, doing jigsaw puzzles, and most of all picking on people. Lonnie is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Mary Eileen (Ervin) Plum; one daughter, Amanda Kay McKinley and Nathaniel, Kingwood; two sons, Jason Brian Plum and Ernest Lee Plum, Kingwood; three grandchildren, Samantha “Gert”, Ethan and Justin; one sister, Sandra Kay Walton and Paul “Joe”, Tunnelton; two sisters-in-law, Freda Plum, Reedsville, Bernice Plum, Tunnelton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lonnie is preceded in death by one son, Michael Dwayne Plum; three brothers, Willard Lee Plum, Clarence Allen Plum and Beatrice, and Donald Eugene Plum; one brother in infancy, and three sisters in infancy. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Monday, June 5, 2023 from 3:00-7:00 PM and Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 10:00 until time of service at 12 noon with Pastor A. C. Mann officiating. Interment will follow at Shay’s Chapel Cemetery where full military honors being accorded by the Preston County Honor Guard and the US Army Honor Guard.
