Lovetta May (Weaver) Bowmar Funk

Lovetta May (Weaver) Bowmar Funk, 85 of Tunnelton, WV passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 2, 1939 in Oakland MD, daughter of the late Roy Donald and Gertrude Gladys Estella (Miller) Weaver. Lovetta graduated from Tunnelton High School, Class of 1956. She was a member of West End Church where she played the piano. Her hobbies were embroidering, crocheting, quilting, sewing, painting, cooking, camping and traveling with Donald. She loved spending time with all her family. Lovetta is survived by her husband whom she married on September 19, 2009, Donald Keith Funk; eight children, Debra Harker, and Stephen, Apollo, PA, Barbara Johnson, Kingwood, Roger Bowmar and Susie, Tunnelton, Cheryl Ringer, Oakland, MD, Terry Moore, Tunnelton, Diana Haskiell and Tim, Tunnelton, Robin Rudder, Tunnelton, Donald Funk Jr and Terri, Canton, OH; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; eight siblings, Donald Weaver and Amy Durr, Independence, Jack Weaver and June, Brandywine,  Zelma Hensel, Iverness, FL, Reta Haube and Steve, Howesville, David Weaver and Sandy, Independence, Ward Weaver and Rose, Rupert, John Weaver and Cathy, Independence, and Ben Weaver, Clifton Mills, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lovetta was preceded in death by her first husband, Blake Bowmar; one daughter, Brenda Smith; two great grandchildren; three sons-in-law, Mark Johnson, James Rudder, and John Ringer; three brothers, Jesse Weaver  and June, Bruce Weaver and Sarah, Jerry Weaver and Ruth; sisters-in-law, Deborah Rae Weaver and Lena Weaver; brother-in-law, Ed Hensel. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV on Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm and on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am with Rev. Sonny McNear officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount View Cemetery.
