Lula Belle Bolyard

Lula Belle Bolyard left this world behind her on the 19th day of March, 2023. She was a very loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. “Granny Lou” knew the meaning of hard work and was always ready to lend a hand to help her family. Lula also had a creative side, and it was not a rare occurrence to catch her crocheting a blanket or stitching something on plastic canvas, often times as a gift for someone in her family. Chances were good that when you stepped foot in her house you could immediately smell something good cooking on the stove. She loved to cook and was amazing at it! If you left her house hungry it was your own fault! Right beside her nearly all the time were her furry sidekicks, Max, Sid, and Mia. Her presence will be sorely missed, but her wisdom and love will remain in the hearts of those who had the pleasure and privilege of knowing Mrs. Lula Bolyard. Survived by her four daughters Judy White of Mannington, Sharon Rivera and spouse Mark of North Carolina, Maggie Uphold of Tunnelton, and Sarah Biggins & companion Warren Hare of Tunnelton, and 100 years old older sister Opal Russell. Grandkids of Melissa Kerns and spouse Robert, Mikey Cool and spouse Tanicca, Emily Stough and spouse Rusti, Haley Henry and spouse Timothy, Jamie Uphold and spouse Kerri, Nicholas Uphold, Joshua Biggins and finance Olivia Evans, Justin Biggins, and Luke Biggins. Great-Grandkids Colby, Garvin, Aidan, Adalyan, and Mason Cool, Johnny Arnett, Chase and Elijah Stough, Dylan Wiles and Sophia Williams, Tucker and Joshua Uphold, Baylee and Gavin Uphold, Skylar Spadafore, and Andi Mae Biggins. She was preceded by her husband Clyde Bolyard of 53 years, grandson, Noah Clay Biggins, sisters, Tharrel Knotts, Cleo Saukel, and twin sister Lola Braham, brothers, Rodney Sigley, Grover Sigley and Delton Sigley. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 3:00 -7:00 pm and on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am with Pastor David Biggins officiating.
