Marcella Rhodes

Marcella Rhodes, 54 of Tunnelton, WV passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at her residence with family by her side. She was born July 1, 1966, in Kingwood, the daughter of Phillip Franklin and Lana Ruth (Wolfe) Rhodes of Tunnelton. Marcella graduated from Central Preston High School, Class of 1984 and Fairmont State College with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice.  She retired with twenty-four years of service with the Federal Correctional Institution as a Correctional Officer in both Cumberland, MD and Hazelton, WV. Marcella served in the Army Reserves. She was a member of the Fellowship Assembly of God in Tunnelton. Marcella loved farming, especially her chickens, and being outdoor in general. In addition to her parents, Marcella is survived by one sister, Mariann R Plum and Allen, Tunnelton; one brother, Phillip Linn Rhodes and Teressa, Moatsville; five nieces and nephews, Allie Plum and wife, Tori, Kristin Brewer and Andrew, Laura Ondo and husband, Addison, Grace Rhodes and  Gus Rhodes; eight great nieces and nephews, Gabriel, Jacob, Arabella, Allison, Easton, Collin, Abel and Aurora; special friends, Bonnie and Jerry Grimm, Tunnelton. Marcella is preceded in death by one niece, Kathryn Rhodes. Per Marcella’s wishes she will be cremated. A Celebration of Service will be held at a later date.
