Matthew Scott Myers

Matthew Scott Myers, 30 of Fellowsville, WV passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 as a result of a house fire. He was born on July 28, 1993, in Harrisonburg, VA, son of Rita Sue (Adams) Myers, and the late Alvin Scott Myers in 2014. Matthew graduated from Pleasant Valley Christian Academy in 2011. He enjoyed playing the guitar and video games, listening to music, watching movies, walking in the woods, being outdoors, and hanging out with Felicia in Motown. He was employed by Jennings Nursery and Jennings Excavating. In addition to his mother, Matthew is survived by his companion, Holly Mariea Freeze, Fellowsville; two sisters, Felicia Marie Myers, Morgantown, Lucreatia Nicoal Adams, Newburg; paternal grandparents, Linda Myers of Evansville and Jim Myers of Hazelton; several aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clarence “June” Adams Jr and Helen Marie Adams, paternal grandparents, Richard and Shirley (Pratt) Phillips. A Celebration of Life will be held at Reedsville Vol. Fire Department on June 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his Care Fund on his memorial page.
