Maxine Mae Hamrick

Maxine Mae Hamrick, 90 of Newburg, WV passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Kingwood Health Care Center in Kingwood. She was born on February 5, 1935 in Bergoo, WV in Webster County, daughter of the late Sylvester Peurtin Hamrick and Ersle Jane (Campbell) Hamrick. Maxine was raised by her grandparents, Patrick Hamrick and Martha (Zickafoose) Hamrick. She loved sewing, deer hunting and fishing, working in her flowers and vegetable garden. Her pride and joy were her pets, Lady and Tiny. Maxine is survived by nieces, Hazel Carder (Mark), Clarksburg, and Edie Hamrick, Bridgeport; several additional nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband on April 22, 2019, Ivan “Red” Madison Hamrick. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Monday, December 1, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and a graveside service will follow at Damon Cemetery with Pastor Dave Freeman officiating.
