Melissa "Missy" Ann (Nestor) Sherman

Melissa Ann (Nestor) Sherman, 49 of Centreville, VA formerly of Fellowsville, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at her residence with family by her side. She was born on July 22, 1972 in Morgantown, daughter of Wilbur Lee and Vera Maria “Nesci” Nestor of Fellowsville. Missy graduated from Central Preston High School, Class of 1990. She got her Bachelor’s at Fairmont College and her Master’s Degree at WVU. She taught school in Preston County, Taylor County and Fairfax County in VA. Missy was an avid reader, loved her animals and going to the Hovatter Zoo, teaching and going to yard sale. In addition to her parents, Missy is survived by her husband, Timothy Mark Sherman, VA; one sister, Tammy S Clark, Port Richey, FL; one brother, William L “Billy” Nestor and wife, Christie, LaGrange, GA; four nieces and nephews, Alyson and husband Jeremiah and baby Isabella on the way, Ethan, Brandon, and William; mother-in-law, Roberta Sherman, Cumberland, MD. Missy is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Robert Sherman. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 3:00 pm 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Mount Israel Cemetery, Marquess on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 12:00 noon with the Pastor David Murray officiating.
