Melodye Harris Obituary

Melodye Ann Harris, 74 of Tunnelton passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at her residence. She was born November 29, 1946 in Tunnelton, daughter of the late Clarence “Mutt” Woodrow and Betty Ann Strawser Shillingburg.  Melodye graduated from Tunnelton High School, Class of 1964. She retired from Valley Healthcare System as an Office Manager with over twenty years of service. She was a member of the Tunnelton Colonel Rowan Post 2345 VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  She held several different positions with the Boy Scouts.  She loved spending time with her family.  She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Lloyd C Harris whom she married on June 27, 1964; three children, Brian Harris and Linda, Chesapeake, VA, Melissa McKeen and Russell “Russ” Reynoldsville, Amanda Vititoe and Willard “Butch” Sevierville, TN; three grandchildren, Courtney Harris, Brian Harris II, and Aaron Wilt; one brother, Randy Shillingburg and Monica, Buckhannon; two sisters, Anita Mitter, Kingwood and Faye Shillingburg, Martinsburg; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Melodye was preceded in death by one sister, Deborah Faith Shillingburg.
