Michael Roy Beavers, Jr.

Michael Roy Beavers, Jr., 39 of Grafton, WV passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was born on July 29, 1983 in Morgantown son of Michael Roy Beavers Sr and stepmom, Sara, Grafton; his mother, Donna Sue (Barber) Moore and stepdad, Gary, Parsons. Michael graduated from Philip Barbour High School, Class of 2001. He served in the US Army in the 82th Airborne Division. Michael worked as a boss for Whitetail Coal Mines and the Cumberland Coal Mines. In 2016 he opened his own business, Beavers Tree Service and love working with his wife. He was a hard worker and loved spending time with his wife, kids and family whom he loved. His hobbies were mushroom hunting, swimming, hunting, and going to the movies.  Michael is survived by his wife of twenty years, Melissa Dawn (Stevenson) Beavers, Grafton; one son, Kayden Michael Beavers, Grafton; one daughter, Scarlett Pearl Beavers, Newburg; one step-daughter, Kelsey Shahan, Newburg; one step-son, Blaine Shahan, Newburg; and one granddaughter, Aubreella Flood, Newburg; one brother, James Beavers and wife, April, Philippi; four nieces, Brianna Beavers, Addyson Beavers, Anna Marie Stevenson and Laelah Grace Stevenson; one nephew Brayson Beavers; maternal grandfather, Alfred Barber, Newburg; maternal grandmother, Shirley Barber, Grafton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arnold and Debra Lyons Stevenson, Newburg; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Ada Beavers; brother-in-law, Scott Stevenson. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 2:00 -7:00 pm, and Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 11:00 am until the service at 1:00 pm with the Pastor Delbert Lyons officiating. Interment will follow at Shay’s Chapel Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the Preston County Honor Guard and the US Army Honor Guard.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to his Care Fund on his memorial page.
