Nora Katherine Bishop

Nora Katherine Bishop, 67 of Newburg, WV passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018. She was born in Newburg, WV, on May 9, 1951, daughter of Geraldine Hazel Durr Sisler, Newburg and the late William “Billy” Sisler. Nora graduated from Newburg High School. She was a homemaker, loved doing crafts and cuddle time with her sweet cat, Moose. Nora loved spending time with her family, and her special angel Em. Nora was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend but wore the title of nanny with the most pride. She was kind and had a giving heart, didn’t know a stranger and was an angel among us. She was a Member of the Shay’s Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to her mother, Nora is survived by one daughter, Mary Newlon and husband Sam, Grafton; one son, Robbie Bishop, Newburg; one granddaughter, Emili Newlon, the light of her life and special angel; nine siblings, William “Buck” Sisler and Linda of Newburg, Linda Cole and Terry, Tunnelton, Martha Poling, Newburg, Shirley Moore and Bobby, Tunnelton, Tenia Sisler, JoAnn Sisler, Roy Sisler, James Sisler and Billy Sisler all of Newburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Nora was preceded in death by her husband, Ira “Junior” Bishop on September 2, 1980. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, WV, Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 1-7pm, and Monday, July 2, 2018 from 11am until time of service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Delissa Riley officiating.  Burial will follow at the Shay’s Chapel Cemetery.
