Pastor Ronald "Ron" Dale Funk

Pastor Ronald “Ron” Dale Funk, 74 of Arthurdale, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at his residence. He was born on August 25, 1950 in Tunnelton, WV, son of the late Raymond Francis and Violet Virginia (Nestor) Funk. Ron retired as a Machinist at Morgantown Machine and Hydraulics of West Virginia, Inc. He was a Pastor for the White Oak Church Cranesville for 10 plus years. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, cooking and loved his dogs, Tucker and Minnie. Ron is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Ann (Fulks) Funk; one daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Funk, Independence; one son, Robert Dale Funk, Arthurdale; two grandchildren, Kari Dawn Funk, Arthurdale and Jessica Danielle Stemple (Garrett) Independence; five brothers, Donald K. Funk, Tunnelton, Elwood G. Funk (Doris), Macedonia, OH, Darwin Funk, (Darla,) Reedsville, Larry Funk (Lori),  Tunnelton, Gary Funk (Jeaninne), Tunnelton; two sisters, Sharon Matlick  and Sue Holt both of Tunnelton; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Kay Funk, Tunnelton, and Marlene Funk, MI;  many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Ralph Funk, Willard Francis Funk and Allen “Al” Funk. Interment will be at Mount View Cemetery on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00 am with a time of sharing.   Online condolences can be made at www.bolyardfuneralhomewv.com.
