Paul William Harrison

Paul William Harrison, 80 of Tunnelton, WV, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at his residence with family by his side. He was born on March 18, 1944 in Ervin, Preston County, son of the late Oliver and Mae (Moats) Harrison. He retired as a coal miner at Preston Energy and Big Joe Mine. Paul enjoyed digging ramps and walking through the woods. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Sue Ellen (Hoffman) Harrison; three children, Mike Harrison and Kim, Tunnelton, Rick Harrison and Angie, Reedsville, Kim St. Clair and Kevin, Bretz; two grandchildren, Jaclyn “Jackie” Hall and Adam, Michael “Mikey” Harrison and Autumn; five great-grandchildren, Dax Harrison, Anthony and Aiden Hall, Keegan Harrison and Reese Harrison; two sisters-in-law, Mary Harrison, Howesville, and Linda Harrison, Aurora; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by seven brothers, Delmar, Darcy and Foster Lipscomb, Jim, Lloyd, Dorsey and Alty Harrison; five sisters, Juanita Jenkins, Lynn Savage, Luella Sigley, Dorothy (Poot) Swanson, and Alberta Roe. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 3:00 pm–7:00 pm, and on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm with Ministry Assistant, Peggy Cole officiating.
